hi ginger - glad to hear things are going well. i've been reading all your updates. sounds like gene has some small issues that will be resolved soon. the best news is the clean pathology report so that's the thing to focus on. i think the worst is over and you can probably see the light at the end of the tunnel. at least the cancer is OUT of him!

Today we had our post-op appointment with Dr. CAMPBELL. Heres the scoop. When lymph nodes are removed during surgery nerves and muscles are disturbed to the point of possible minor problems. These issues should be able to be resolved in time , some physical therapy may be needed. The positioning of your body during surgery is also an issue. Laying for 8 hours in one position can also add to the mix. So his suggestion, work with it and see how it goes, all in do time. We'll keep an eye on the problem.
Another answer to the leakage from the penis after r/c with an outside pouch. Completely normal for up to 2-3 weeks after surgery, body fluids which will be absorbed by the body eventually. Buy those serentity briefs with pads for men.
Completely happy with Gene's recovery, doing better than he ever expected!!
We should see a noticeable difference in strength issues on a daily bases in 6 weeks. He made reference to the fact of having the laprascopic removal of the bladder. No big incision, faster recovery. We are both happy today!!!
