Hi Buddy,

Unfortunately my oncologist told me not to use any suppositories, so I am relying on a lot of stool softeners. Don't have the right mix down yet - it's either no go or diarrhea!!

I think I'm on the right track as of today, and I thank you for your advice, even if I can't follow it:)

Hi Jim's wife,

Yes, I am finding the same issues. This chemo is really tough, but I only have one more to get through next Monday.

I appreciate your note!

Hi Mary, So sorry things have changed for you. The pain meds my husband had to take seemed to make his constipation worse. He had to take a stool softer every day and we eased up on the pain meds when we could and that seemed to help with it. Also drink lots of fluids, most people don't realize how much fluids they don't really drink and the effect it has on making their plumbing work . Rocky

Thank you Catherine. We're dealing with this one day at a time.
Not an especially festive Christmas this year, but I'd like to celebrate a few more!!

Mary, sorry for the issue with constipation All I can say if my husband had feast or famine in that area while on chemo. It does get better but I know it's a pain in the...ooops sorry. We both know a little humor helps. He took various stool softeners etc. like you. I found having him eat more fruit/roughage helped a lot.
