Well, the PA should NOT have given out preliminary path results. I know that you are anxious to know what the results were, and where you are headed. But only the urologist has the experience and is qualified to discuss this with you. You may be upset when you shouldn't be, or upset when you cannot get appropriate answers to what are now multiple questions.

And yes, the path report is yours ....you paid for it....and when you talk with the doctor, ask for a copy.

IF THE DIAGNOSIS IS NOT "GARDEN VARIETY" PAPILLARY TRANSITIONAL CELL BLADDER CANCER, GET YOURSELF TO SOMEPLACE LIKE THE CLEVELAND CLINIC ASAP. And yes, while there may be some urgency, you would have plenty of time to be SURE that you are getting the best advice and treatment possible. Do not be rushed into something if you are not entirely sure that this is what should be done. I cannot stress how important this is. And, unless there are unusual circumstances, radiation if NOT a good treatment for bladder cancer.

Really keeping good thoughts for you and will be thinking of you. Please let us know what your urologist says.

I had a TURBT (first ever) 10 days ago. I called urologist for pathology results yesterday and was told results in, but doctor out if town all week, so hadn't reviewed or signed off on and she would give me results upon her return 4/20. I was incredibly stressed waiting and asked if any way I could get results now. The a Physicians Assistant called me back and said she wanted to move my appointment up from 4/29 to 4/20. I asked her if she was escalating appointment due to results. She said yes. I am just learning all this Bladder Cancer stuff, so the only thing I knew to ask is if it was invasive. She reluctantly said it showed micro pap invasion but doc might get 2nd opinion on pathology. All my head needed to hear was invasive and I started to cry. I asked what does that signify long term and she said bladder removal, chemo, radiation. My head is spinning. I know there is do much more that I need to know on the Pathology Report to really know what this means. I have the option of going to Cleveland Clinic since I have family there I can stay with (I live in Pittsburgh, PA but insurance blocks me from UPMC docs and facilities). So, I guess in the meantime I am looking for some insight into what micro pap invasion means. Also, Zi am assuming since it's my pathology report the doctor should be agreeable to sending it to me?
