Well, the PA should NOT have given out preliminary path results. I know that you are anxious to know what the results were, and where you are headed. But only the urologist has the experience and is qualified to discuss this with you. You may be upset when you shouldn't be, or upset when you cannot get appropriate answers to what are now multiple questions.
And yes, the path report is yours ....you paid for it....and when you talk with the doctor, ask for a copy.
IF THE DIAGNOSIS IS NOT "GARDEN VARIETY" PAPILLARY TRANSITIONAL CELL BLADDER CANCER, GET YOURSELF TO SOMEPLACE LIKE THE CLEVELAND CLINIC ASAP. And yes, while there may be some urgency, you would have plenty of time to be SURE that you are getting the best advice and treatment possible. Do not be rushed into something if you are not entirely sure that this is what should be done. I cannot stress how important this is. And, unless there are unusual circumstances, radiation if NOT a good treatment for bladder cancer.
Really keeping good thoughts for you and will be thinking of you. Please let us know what your urologist says.
