I smoked for 46 years quit at least 3 times over the years. The last time was 2002
Haven't smoked since. What helped me was every time I felt the need to smoke I took 3 or 4 deep breaths and held it then let it out slowly. I also was on the patch and ziban (sp)
Nothing was harder to quit!

Hi Star,

I need another category for my Dad - "Smoked for many years, not heavy, but consistent... then quit when I found out I had bladder cancer. Hardest thing in my life to quit and still struggling".

this is real like some with other issues at hand. I was wondering whom has talked about this approach so that is why the poll. I placed it through out the cafe and just cuz we know right from wrong our body is not so smart at times.
Family/cancer/other/ smoking it all applies but whom ever asked?????
