Darn! Sorry to hear that. She and I agree on NG tubes. I tell them not to take it out unless they are darn (edited) sure that it will not have to go back in. I'm fine with it capped off and NOT FINE with having it put back in while I am awake. I will never forget having that done.

Glad she is getting some gum. Hope the guts get moving again soon!

I take back everything i said in my previous post. Cancer Vixen Holly successfully fended off the nurses with the NG tube and managed to get down tea and toast...passed the prerequisite gas plus.....and is now on her way outta there!
I forgot to mention that after her surgery with all their expertise they actually put a colostomy bag on her instead of a ostomy bag!......aaaaaaaaaaaah DOH. The stories we could tell huh?

ITs always something! Holly successfully got the J drain out with a second surgery..she can't remember what had it trapped. She is very nautious and throwing up but i think its probably due to the second surgery so close to the original one. She's threatening the nurses with thier lives if they even think about an NG tube! Bowels now not moving and she's having her friend bring some gum today.
Send well wishes her way and hope she gets out of that place where there are sick people!!!

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. Tell Holly we are thinking of her and hope they get that drain out without any other problems.

A bit of a glitch with Holly's recovery. They can't get the JP drain out on one side.......so she's scheduled for another surgery to find out what has it trapped..could be a stitch..could be scar tissue??? Bummer.
