I'm so happy for you and your family. I talked with someone last week that is just starting our jouney and told her she needs this forum to read about the good news because when you are starting out you feel you will never be happy again and we both know that there can be light at the end of this fight. I will continue to pray for you. Carolyn King

Julie they saw a lot of lesions on my liver which with aging isn't uncommon but one thing at the Univ of Penn they never leave a stone uncovered. But waiting for the results just more to add to not having peace of mind, I mean I was going that they were just lesions but if you don't check then maybe the cancer did spread. As long as my results keep coming back negative they can test all they want but it does get old my second home is now the Univ of Penn. Best Wishes, Joe ;)

Karen thank you and I am trying my best to be positive but I guess I'm getting tired out. After my RC I had 2 UTI's and then the MRSA in my blood so I got through that. Yup Dr. Malkowicz is on the ball seeing that nodule which I am glad is only .8cms but none the less I am getting a CT Scan of my chest but you do think about it. As for getting my uretha checked out I knew this was coming but with my surgery being so long he left it in because my surgery was 7 hours and 2 of those hours was cutting through a proir surgery I had back in 2000 (Bi-Femoral Bypass) a 15 inch incision running across my abdomen and at that time my Path Report came back negative for that. So this is something I want done and he was just waiting till I was up and feeling better to do this. Dr. Malkowicz did tell me he wasn't worried about my uretha at that time and he would do this later and and now is later. I know my situation isn't as over baring as with what you are facing but all cases are different and you guys are in my prayers everyday. Thanks, Joe ;)

You are right Joe there is no more peace of mind. The best we can do is focus on today and what joy we can find in it.
What explanation did they give you for having an MRI. All Dick has had has been CT scans, one PET scan and two nuclear bone scans. I plan on asking the oncologist Tuesday about MRI's and the indications for using them. I have been wondering if they would be better than all the radiation that comes with CT's and x-rays. Julie
