Good job Duane, ours may not be the most attractive choice but it sure is easy. Also the belt line thing with pants is sometimes bothersome, I find myself pulling away my belt from my waist every once in awhile to be sure all is flowing properly. But except for some small issues I am doing great as well. Welcome to the other choice, "THE BAGMAN GROUP" were here to vouch for our choice of deversion. I use the 8478 Hollister bag convex, if you want to try it for yourself. I hope you had good stoma nurses, the cleveland clinic has the best.

Thanks Gene----I guess I forgot to say that it is the outside pouch. So far this is going pretty good. I'm thinking that clothes are going to be the biggest issue right now . at least untill the swelling goes down. My bib-overalls seem to be the most comfortable....I weigh 174. I'm going to have to adjust to changing the flange and learning which adheasive remover-pouch-brrrier paste ETC. But for the most part I think this Is going to be easy. DUANE

Duane,
I think you have the outside pouch, right??? Well I am with you, I am 4 months out and heading for Vegas next week, all I have to do is hope I don't get searched at the airport, if I do I have a card I can hand them that says I have a pouch. I still have some bowel issues and heading for some sex related issues with a specialist at the Cleveland Clinic but otherwise doing great. Not to many pouch people around but I am here to say It is a choice to think about. Glad you are doing well, thats wonderful... Take it easy, recovery doesn't happen overnite,,if you have issues ask your doctor, don't get discouraged.. Gene

Duane,

Considering your location, I'm thinking surely you have the wonderful "Indiana" pouch. I'm impressed you are moving forward so quickly. Good for you! You may still be in for a few surprises so I would take it easy and not be in too much of a rush to get things done. The pouch will let you know what it needs in the way of love and attention. I have the Indy and I think it's rather neat too, but hey, it took me several months to say that. Melodie

I had my R C the 10th. I'm feeling better each day.The pain I thought I would have wasn't as bad as I thought.I think I'll be use to this pouch pretty soon. I'm waiting for the path report--get the stitches out-- J P tube out , then watch out, I have things to do. Had the surgery at St Vincent in Indianopolis Dr. Pike and Dr. Ramsey did the surgery in 4 hours. Up and walking on 2nd day. Eating regular diet on 3rd. Just wanted to let anyone know ,this pouch thing , seems to pretty easy to get use to. When it's full I just empty it.So far so good. Well, just glad to be able to post and say thanks to all who responded to my earler questions. DUANE
