My Uro said he would treat this like a cancer so he isnt fooling around. I guess the bottom line is If it comes back?

Don't know if this helps to answer your question...

My 2nd opinion doctor, a highly profiled bladder cancer specialist, told me that anything that grows in the bladder (a polyp, etc) is considered and known as cancer. Some of the people here are much more educated about the names and types of different tumors so I'm hoping someone else can give you a more specific answer...

Hi all,

i am a 34 yr old male. I have had 2 urethra strictures and prostatitis. When I got my second cystoscopy he found a tumor. he removed it and said it was small. The lab results came back as a no grade transitional Papilloma. My uro said that the grades were 1-5 but I got a no grade. So, he said technically they arent calling it cancer but Im confused as all hell. The more I read, the more I get confused. Some people call it bladder Papilloma and some call it Superficial. I dont really get it. Anyway his approach is the cysto every 3 months and he said If there is anything there each time he will remove it so it cant kill me as long as I follow up. I keep seeing the reoccurance rates of these things.

Did I have cancer or was it just a benign tumor?
