Hi Jim!
Glad to hear you are feeling so much better following surgery. It's amazing how much improved you are after surgery. You sound like you had a spa day. I never had any pain or symptoms at all (except the hematuria) , so the tumor came as a total surprise to me. I am just now getting back to my exercise and I hope to run again by next week. They wanted me to restrict activity for awhile.
Emotionally, I was GREATLY relieved to know that the alien was totally gone! The stress is slowly leaving and things are becoming normal again.

I must say, I am with your wife on this. I would certainly want to know sooner. That is why I visited the urgent care and they gave me a printout of the results. They were in by four days.

Today my urologist said I had the best possible scenario: low grade non invasive. I was thinking that benign would have been a lot better, but I am very thankful for the results, because they could have been worse. I have come to terms with this. I have been reading the book of Job again. Sometimes God allows things to happen to us so that we can learn to trust in Him. So I am trusting that this will not return and I will remain cancer free.

Still praying for your results.

LOL! Just have to laugh!!! Life throws us curveball after curveball. If we allow just those bad things to influence us then we become bitter and pessimistic, only to view this world as a dark and depressing voyage.
Ultimately, at least from my perspective, life is good! Laughter opens the eyes and the heart. It shows us that even when bad things happen that eventually good comes!!

I'm glad I bring a smile to your face!!! Life is too short my friend to wallow in the crap, we must just pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and push forward! You will beat this thing. This alien you had removed from your body. I completely get where you are coming from when you refer to it as the Alien!!! Keep fighting.

Yes, his name was Charlie! My hired hitman (urologist) took him out thursday!! Like you and your alien, I'm glad he's gone. I already feel so much better. My feet are no longer swollen, I am waking up rested, no more low back flank pain, no more sharp jabbing pelvic pains in the front, other weird perks are my right knee and my right shoulder/chest no longer are in pain either!! I feel good!!

My wife is pressing me now. My post surgery appointment and learning the pathology results is scheduled for 11/13. She wants me to get in earlier. I've assured her that if the results were not good and required immediate attention, that the urologist would certainly reach out sooner. I'm confident all will be good!!

Again, sorry to hear that you have learned that you have bladder cancer doglover. Stay on top of it!! You've got this!!!

Prayers and thoughts for you!

Best

Jim

You are so funny Jim. Your sense of humor will carry you a long way. You always make me laugh! So it was Charlie eh? Good for you! I had the alien removed. Honestly, it reminded me of that old movie Alien.
Sorry to hear about all of those clots, but at least you cleared out after that. I only had one tiny one.
I got my results in 4 days. I didn't wait for the appointment, I just called and asked.
Low grade, non invasive papillary urothelial carcinoma. I believe it was described as pTa.

I look forward to hearing your results. You are in my prayers

hey doglover

turbt went well. little hiccup post surgery but finally made it home. lots of blood and I've passed a good 7 clots. the first one scared the heck out of me. it was 1230 AM. I had another couple come out around 2 AM, one at 4 .....and then 3 big ones at 7 this morning. this had settled down, drinking lots of fluids .....and urine is now looking like a fine white zinfandel wine!!! LOL

operation #KillCharlie was successful.

now the waiting game.

How did you make out with your pathology report from the TURBT?

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers!

Praying that your results are favorable. please let me know!

best

Hello Jim!
I hope the surgery went well. You have been in my daily prayers for a swift recovery and a benign outcome, or at least a low grade non-invasive.

So you finally said goodbye to ____. You didn't really want to be really great friends anyway. I was very happy to say goodbye to the Alien that had taken up residence.
I had my results very quickly. I got them from the Urgent care doctor after only 4 days. I pray you get yours that quickly too.

so glad to hear from you and that your TURBT has been completed!! Positive vibes and many prayers for a speedy recovery!!!

I received my call from the hospital a couple of hours ago, and no change on time for resection of tumor tomorrow at noon time!

Feeling ready here!!! Anyone who wants to, can send up a few prayers for me. they always come in handy .....and they did be greatly appreciated!!
