You have an unusual extra with the stretching of the urethra. You are getting close to have an attack plan once the path report comes in. Passing clots and tissue after the TURB is pretty normal. I was told to expect that 10-14 days post. I am guessing the red blood is from separation of the old clot BUT, I would call your URO mentioning that it is fresh blood not old. I would guess that will be the emd of passing clots.

sorry to take over a week to get back.

when i woke up, incredibly sore ( the had to "stretch" my urethra)with a very large and semi rigid catheter in me i was surprised. eventually the surgeon came by and told me it was a small tumor and that ti was gone now. (to pathology i assume).

then i asked him " had the tumor penetrated or even begun to penetrate the bladder wall". he said" i didnt look so" or"it didnt look like it". very skilled and admired man who has been doing this for years. i take that with hope and some relief even though i know ti still has to go to pathology and get "official" results.

it was i week ago today. there was some bleeding and one incredibly sore urethra (stretched). however, i was unnerved last night by the passing of 2 very small clots with very little blood. this morning, the water was red with a few more clots (2 or 3 grains of rice long ((like a small piece of spaghetti))and maybe a half grain wide). after that only the most minor amount of blood at the end of the "emptying". there were zero clots before last night.

has anyone heard of this?. someone mentioned that it was similar to a scab coming off inside somewhere (either the site where the tumor was or the stretched urethra). there has been no further bleeding and i am watching like a hawk.

thx for tolerating a post like this.

Welcome. Going directly to your question on size, that is considered a small tumor from what I understand. Yes, chances this also early. I say this with the understanding none of us are doctors.

You are also getting the normal protocol. Ct scan, TURB and i presume you have had a cystoscopy, although the TURB should accomplish the same looking into the bladder. You really won't know much more until the pathology is done. It could be several things besides a tumor so you simpy will have to wait. And, we know that is no fun.

Keep asking away, someone should be able to ask further questions.

through an unbelievable process i am having a turbt on next wednesday.

i have a copy of the ultrasound and it says

"Note is made of a 1.4 x 0.9 x 1.5 cm non-mobile vascular echogenic lesion
along the posterior left bladder base corresponding to the small bladder
lesion noted on the previous CT"

"A small bladder tumor corresponds to the finding on the recent
hematuria protocol CT"

my question is, is this a large tumor?. reason i ask is because it was found by accident and has become rather nerve racking. if this is cancer, i would be the first or one of the first who owes their life to a kidney stone.

i am assuming that this (due to the size and near absence of other symptoms) it has been caught early.

thx for any advice
