Just because it’s not cancer I should feel better?

Welcome. None of us are doctors so our ideas are worth.... about 2 cents, as the joke goes. Personally, I'd get a second opinion. Your post does indicate via pathology some kind of growth. Also, you still need to find out why you have microscopic hematuria. Many times it is never even found out why but, any bleeding should still be chceked out. Often, a CT scan of the torso is done to rule out other urinary tract problems. So, yes, get a second.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Hi everyone. I have not been diagnosed with bladder cancer however I hope you can help. I just had a cystoscopy TURBT. I had microscopic hematuria with low back pain and pelvic pain. My gyno refered me. My first cystoscopy showed a lesion and the follow up showed two and bladder looked inflamed. My urologist scheduled me for procedure. Results were as follows:

Findings: 1 cm papillary erythematous flower-like lesion in the mid supratrigonal region.

Benign urothelium with mild chronic inflammation.
No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy. No muscularis propria present for evaluation. Muscularis propria seen and free of tumor.

Cytology: negative for dysplastic cells or malignancy. FISH negative

Findings: scattered urothelial cells, some with reactive changes. Papillary appearing clusters of urothelial cells some with reactive changes, isolated erythrocytes.

I was diagnosed a year and a half ago with autoimmune disorder, being checked for lupus every 3 mths. My urologist doesn’t seem to know where these issues in bladder came from and said as long as it’s not cancer basically it doesn’t matter. I’m only almost 40 (in June) no history of bladder infections or UTI. Should I see another urologist for a second opinion?

Thank you in advance.
