Capt David, I moved your post here to a different heading since more people can find it here.

I am so sorry to hear about your situation. Your diagnosis is one of the rarer types of bladder cancer so that there
are not a lot of people with your problems, Do they think that the neuropathy is from the cancer or from the chemo that you have had?

Wishing you all the best

Sara Anne

12 months ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the bladder. In that time I've done 3 different types of chemos, 2 types of immunotherapies, and 7 weeks of radiation with little result on main tumor(8cms x 3.5cms) but big results in side effects: neuropathy in hands and feet(left foot drop included), lymphedema(left leg) that I can't walk and am now either lying down or sitting nearly 24 hours a day. On good days I can use my cane for an hour or two but I am slow and very unsteady even then and I pay the price later in the day. Those are now very few and far between. The cancer has now been found in my liver and my oncologist told me in teary eyes to get my affairs in order while I'm still healthy enough to do so. She really did her best and is still amazed that the lab work on my blood after the 2nd week of chemo has been that of a healthy person to this day. To tell the truth I wouldn't even know I had cancer if my damn leg worked. Numb feet I've been dealing with for 5 years or more already scale being a 4 last year and a 10 today. Is there anything that can relieve the issues of my leg so I can move more so I may get stronger because I'm becoming weak all over and to enjoy the little time i have left with my family my kids 7 and 13 years of age wish i could do more activities with them and my wife needs a break from the household work. Let me tell ya it is nearly impossible to do chores from a wheelchair and are impossible lying in bed. I think if I had some relief I would have more time on earth.

Capt David
