Buy new ones :)

I can tell you about the chemos I was on. Different than yours.
But, my oncologist told me, to make sure my husband wore one.
When I asked why, I thought it was to protect me, well...

he said, so it didn't effect him! It could cause some burning and irritation.
I was on the chemos for six months at a time. And, then, he used one for additional six
months. I think, one night he was trying to put 2 on! lol. I was hot stuff. ;)

Plus, it reduced my chances of getting any kind of infection which I might had found difficult to
fight off.

So, my opinion is just to wear one. Or, 2.

Hi, I just finished my second round of BCG four days ago and was wondering about how it will effect my sex life. The two rounds of BCG had resulted in absolutely no side effects. Not sure if this is normal or abnormal. I did ask the urologist how long I should wait or what precautions should be taken when I have intercourse. My urologist told me to wait 24 hours after my treatments, but now I not sure. I have condoms (which I haven't used in like 40 years I think) which may be a good thing to use. Just looking for other opinions related to this. Thanks

I am a 58 female and have enjoyed sex a few times per week throughout my intensive chemo treatment. (I have stage IV and my chemo had to be inpatient for 4 days each round.) Scheduled for radical cystectomy August 30)

I suggest using a condom just in case she may experience small interior tears and her white cell count is low. Since treatment can change to skin in all areas, I experienced some labial tearing and was advised by my OB/GYN to use aloe or vitamin E to replenish the skin condition in that area. My team at MD Anderson was OK with that advice.

Most important above all.... is the feeling of acceptance and intimate expression of love. I can't tell you how much that has meant to me during my journey to survival!!!

Good luck and best of wishes!

Safe unprotected sex time frames during and after treatments seem to be all over the board? Protecting my wife is my utmost concern so I am seeking input from others relative to their experiences.
