Welcome to our Forum!!! Please remember that we are not doctors, but are patients and family who have unfortunately had a bit of experience with bladder cancer.
The urologist will do a cystoscopy, which is sort of like a pelvic exam...he will insert a very small camera into the bladder so that he can see whatever might be in there. This takes about 15 minutes. If he sees evidence of a growth of any kind, it is likely that he will order a TURB (transurethral resection of the bladder , or biopsy) which is very similar to the cystoscopy except that it is done under general anesthesia so that he can cut out any tumors/growths/abnormalities that he can see. These are then sent to a pathologist who makes the final diagnosis. It is also possible that the urologist may order another CT scan rather than depend on the previous one.
AFTER the cystoscopy you will have a better idea of what you might need/want to ask the urologist. Until he has done that, he probably won't have much of an idea of what is going on. IF he has found anything inside the bladder, things sort of progress from that point as I mentioned above. If he doesn't see anything in the bladder, you would of course want his opinion on whatever the gyn found and where to go next.
