Good morning. I feel like a truck just hit us with this news. My husband has been diagnosed with bladder cancer that has already metastasized to the lungs and who knows where else. He is 71 and has always been in good shape, but now he is not sleeping or eating and is horribly depressed. He has lost 15 lbs which for a man who was already really thin is not a good thing. (He is 6'2" and 155 lbs right now). He is not one who would ever do counseling. They had to put in a nephrostomy tube because the tumor is blocking his left ureter. We are due to meet with an oncologist next week to figure out a course of chemo, but Since he is so frail (both physically and emotionally) at the moment, I am not sure how he will deal with it.
