My cancer came back after BCG, so I had a TURBT to remove new growths. The doctor is starting the BCG again and I'm hoping it will do the job this time and I can continue with the BCG maintenance. I think everyone is different so hopefully your results will be clear and stay that way.
Good Luck!

If the cancer is still there do they redo the BIG, and if so does a second series generally eradicate it?

Four to six weeks is usual The uro wants to be sure that the bladder has completely healed after the workout that the BCG gave it. Usually it is just cystoscopy, not a biopsy unless it looks as if the cancer is still there.

We will hope for really good news!

To determine the results of a 6 week BCG protocol for non invasive CIS is it normal to have to wait 6 weeks before checking, and does it require both a cystoscopy and a biopsy to determine whether I am clear?
