JroZa1,

No radiation, I had a prostatatecomy and just took it out. Unfortunately I never regained continence.

I did not have any radiation,j just got that sucker taken out, to be blunt. I was told with radiation it is very difficult to have the prostate removed due to the tissue/muscle damage caused by radiation! Jay

Not sure if you had radiation, but it's beginning to look like there is a link with the radiation treatments and bladder cancer, I'm assuming because of how they administer. Just curious, did you have radiation?

GeorgeWG: I don't have to deal with a clamp but 2 years ago I got the prostate cancer news and a few weeks after got the bladder cancer news. Long story short, had to take care of the bladder first, got a 6 month Lupron Depot shot which sucked, had the robotic prostatectomy and it coming up to the 2 year mark, finishing up my 4th maintenance, PSA tests are coming out great and my cystos are reporting nothing, except what the BCG does inside to the lining. Sorry I can't give you any info on the bleach/clamp items, but I can tell you life goes on and you get used to the BCG's. Not the best feelings with the BCG's, but it keeps you going! Good luck, Jay

George,

With chlorine sensitivity a problem, none enters the home. We were assured that Hydrogen Peroxide was just as effective for clean up with BCG.

Best,
Jack

Does anyone have experience with cleaning a cunningham clamp after it was used during BCG treatments? I wiped the clamp down well with alcohol swaps, and I am wondering if that if sufficient? I have one that I am only using during the treatments (as I am incontinent) - but the manufacturer's instruction say do not use bleach on it.

Alcohol, and warm soap and water?

thanks,

George
