Both of your reports are pretty good news, all things considered! The primary difference is that Heather's is "high grade" and JoPo's is "low grade." Therefore it is more likely that BCG would be recommended in Heather's case; it is not all that effective sometimes with low grade bladder cancer and usually is not used unless the low grade keeps coming back.

You both will probably be on 3-month cystoscopy checkups for a while.
You and your urologist will become "best friends!"

The good news for both of you is that your cancer was found early and had not spread to the inner layers or to the muscle!

Hi Jopo! My pathology report was similar to yours. And it is a good report! Low grade with no spreading and it's confined to the urothelial tissue it seems! My doc has recommended 6 weeks of weekly BCG treatment then another cystoscopy two months later, just to help prevent recurrence. I also had no muscularis involvement, no lymphatic involvement but I did have focal "high grade" areas (very few and very small) so that might the difference. I'd discuss recurrence with your doc.

"bladder tumor" and consists of a single gray-tan irregular fragment of tissue that measures 0.5 x 0.4 x 0.2 cm

I received the report today, but I won't see my doctor for a few more weeks.
I believe this report is good news.
What will likely be the plan now?
Scopes every 3 months? More treatments?
