Well
We also had some blood and that is why we are going in for a CAT scan on the 22nd and in to see the Dr. for some other "look See" stuff.
I am being positive and vigilant at the same time.

Love that it was only the beets, George! It's always something with BC isn't it? Carla

I am sure the beets will have been the culprits - my nephew did the same thing and caused a major panic and we still pull his leg about it! But I agree with your doc in making sure there is nothing going on.

Well
It has started all kinds of alarms.
My Dr called and wants to be sure so I am now scheduled for an MRI in 2 weeks.
And then a consult.
Even if we think we have it handled, you need to take precautions.
My Dr says there are 2 kinds of cancer
The turtle and the Squirrel.
Bladder cancer is the Squirrel and it moves fast once it is outside of the bladder.
So we cannot take chances.

I'll keep you all in the loop

George!

Good for a laugh as I have read that red (read/red) beets can cause that. Thanks for the levity of the day! :cheer:

So, This happens was created by GKLINE
So, Last week I was getting ready to go visit my inlaws in Arizona and making the necessary arrangements to get work done so I can leave, get a rental car, get packed and generally trying to put 28 hours in a 24 hour day.
I went to the bathroom and saw a rather frightening bloom of dark urine in the toilet. I was alarmed enough to call my Dr and ask a few questions. He made me come in immediately and in 15 minutes he was asking me the 1000 questions he always asks.
(Are you insane? is always my favorite. I always honestly answer, "Yes")
I was quickly put in the loving hands of the vampires who sucked my blood and took a urine sample and took a chest Xray.
Later that afternoon I talked to the Dr and he said I did not have an elevated white blood count, nor an infection or any other bad news. But I still had dark urine.
He said I should go to Arizona and be prepared to check in at a hospital if I had any bleeding issues........ nervous Nelly went to Az.
While I was there he called and said all the tests looked fine but........ I should monitor the situation.
After the 4th day, my wife asked "Remember the running around you were doing before you left and we were eating on a dead run? And What did you eat on Monday night for dinner?"
Hmmmmmmmmmmm I can barely remember! But I was on "clean out the fridge mode"
She said "I remember Monday....... You ate that entire jar of red Beets! You don't think that had anything to do with it, do you?"

So here I am calling my Dr and asking him if I may have been a little quick on the draw in calling him? He answered with an emphatic "NO! Better safe than sorry with this kind of cancer. When in doubt.......... Call me!

So, I am feeling a little foolish. But I thought I would let you know that it is better to feel foolish than "wait it out"
I am happy to have egg on my face. And I'll do it again if I have to.

Glad to be here
Goerge
