Henri... I am so sorry to read this. I can't imagine what you're feeling at this point. Sounds like your doctor took a very direct approach with you and I'm sure he and others will be just as direct and focused on planning out an appropriate treatment for you as soon as the pathology is confirmed. Please continue to post and let us know the next steps.

We are here anytime you have a question, or just want or need to talk. Even though your diagnosis may not directly involve bladder cancer, there are several here who have been through chemo and may be able to to help if that is the course you take. This is all probably too much to think about right now, but know that you and your hubby are in our thoughts and prayers...

I met with the other doctor this morning who reviewed my CT Scan from last Friday. I still don't have the pathology report back. However, they are fairly certain that the cancer is gynecological in nature. So, I have an appointment to see the gynecologist on October 30.

However, the doctor told me that the CT scan showed spots in my lymph nodes, my breast, and my lung. So, it is classified as Stage 4. Not sure what they will recommend when I actually get the diagnosis. But I'm sure the prognosis is not good.

So, I am just waiting now. AT least my bladder and kidney are functioning now.

Thank you all for being here to listen. I'm in shock and don't know what to think now. It looks pretty bleak in my world.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like the move to MD Anderson was a good one considering the original diagnosis. After tomorrow you should be a little further down the road beating this!

Henri, that sounds like really good news. I hope your diagnosis is quick and the treatment is not too bad. Please keep us posted.

I had my procedure and feel really good. My doctor said it is not bladder cancer not his speciality but thinks it is cancer of the uterus or cervical. But he said it was very treatable. I'll know more about treatment hopefully tomorrow when I see another doctor so will wait and see.
