My advice is that you contact your urologist's office tomorrow and ask to be seen. No matter what it is, they need to find out where the blood is coming from.

Yes ma'am. I had the cystoscopy, ct scan, they checked the kidneys All checked out fine. But now a year later the bleeding has returned. And although I felt the urologist was thorough, I didn't have anything to compare it to and he didn't offer any further explanation other than there's no cancer and follow up every three months.

Yes, I have urine sticks that check for blood. It shows Large amounts. I do not have kidney stones and I did a home test for UTI. So I just don't get it.

I assume that the tests that the urologist performed included a cystoscopy (he used a small camera to examine the inside of the bladder) and some tests of the urine to examine it for abnormal cells?

If you are still showing blood in the urine, you get back to the urologist ASAP. It can be things other than cancer, but all need to be checked out. If you are not satisfied with the diagnosis or treatment, there are other urologists you can go to.

Did you have the blood in your urine confirmed? Sometimes red urine can be from food colors like beets. Do you have kidney stones?

I am not sure if this is where I am supposed to put this post, as I have not been diagnosed with bladder cancer, but am new to the site.

About a year ago I noticed blood in my urine. I went to my primary care doctor, who in turn sent me to a urologist to have some test performed. After undergoing several test, all came back revealing no cancer. GREAT Right??? I was told to followup every three months for urinary testing. I thought, well I do not have cancer, been treated for UTI, why followup every three months?? I thought and still think that was a bit odd...

However, now, the blood tinged urine has returned....each day the amount and color increasing (about five days now). I did a dip stick to let me know that I have LARGE amount of blood in urine.

I do not have any burning with urination, a tad bit of increase in frequency, but not urgency, and only the same pain in my right lower pelvic area as before.

I guess my question .. anyone out there experience the same thing?? Is there something I am missing??
