Some urologists do a wash with mitomycin C during the TURB...some do not.

As for BCG, it is usually started about 5-6 weeks after the TURB. They are always very careful to wait until the wound from removal of the tumor and biopsy samples are completely healed.

how soon is bcg after turb? was created by fighterm

Hi, I will be getting my first turb in January after finishing my chemo for lymphoma. The doc said he would shave off the tumor in water. And that's it. No bcg for me. My hemato doc said that after my chemo I can do standard treatments for tcc. When do they usually start the first bcg treatment? I just want to know what the standard protocol is. Do they apply some treatment right away after the surgery?
