Hello Alan,

Thank you again for your reply. I guess that is what I want to hear "wait and watch".

Tomorrow I will see my doctor and hope to hear the same thing

Kind Regards
Tomi

Tomi,

T1G1 is often treated as "waiting and watching" meaning you URO will do cystoscopies every 3 months to make sure there are no reoccurrences for 2 years. If clear, the protocol changes to every 6 months and then yearly. Some will have you take BCG as a preventive measure. It's basically one of the best diagnosis.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

I Believe that T1 G1 is "controversial" is because there are a few options available to you. If the cancer has not perferated the muscle of the bladder, then you may be able to use a BCG treatment and not have surgery.
However there is always the prospect of surgery. I guess the choice is with the Dr and you.
I guess you can breathe a sigh of some relief because you have options.
Thanks for finding us. I hope I gave you a little relief form the hammer blow that is "You have cancer"
I look for you to come back and tell us how things are going and eventually.... Tell us; "I am a cancer Survivor"

Hello Alan,

Thank you for your respond.
I read all the web articles about bladder cancer. In few articles where T1, G1 is mentioned the information is controversial. That is why I want to hear from someone that have the same condition.

Thanks you again

Welcome to this forum but, sorry you have what we all have had (past tense on purpose). This is beatable. T1, G1 is one of the better reports. It means early detection (T2, T3, T4 means it has progressed deeper) and G1 means lower grade (G3 is high grade). Browse around this web site, there is a lot of information and come back someone will respond with help as you proceed.
