Hello all
I am now back in Savannah, and have found an excellent urologist. I start BCG treatments monday mourning.
Remember all, follow up and have your scopes. I'd rather them remove polyps than tumors.
Thanks again for all the support

Bert

Follow Mike's advice and find a top bladder cancer hospital in your area. You will find an aggressive approach to becoming cancer free.
Follow that approach

Bert:

Don't forget that finding the polyps and getting them out BEFORE they turn cancerous is the whole point of the scoping. I wish they would never come back too, but I am really glad you'r keeping up your appointments, and posting the results.

This is the best way to show others why we have to keep up with the scopes. Please post the results from pathology as soon as you can.

Good job!! Keep up the good work!!

Bert,

I don't recall what the stage and grade was last time.

I do recall that you needed to get to a bladder cancer specialist but haven't seen anything saying that you have yet. Did you go to Emery or any other place that has urologists who specialize in bladder cancer.

There is a HUGE difference in outcomes from patients who get to the top doctors at the top teaching hospitals versus those who stick with their local urologist.

Bladder cancer has a very high recurrence rate. Stage and grade determine the treatment path. What was your stage/grade last time and what is it now? I'm guessing you don't have your pathology report back yet but you need to get a copy. All you have to do is sign for it and you can have a copy.

I certainly hope it is low grade and non-invasive. Let us know.
Sorry you had the recurrence.
