B17/Laetrile

Well, up to this post you have had 49 replies, and this convinces me of one thing; the folks on here are loving,tolerant, caring and people who have had many life experiences dealing bladder cancers. If you want to wish upon a star called 'B17/Laetrile' you are most certainly free to do so. I have gone through a RC, and it was frightening, painful and made me adjust my life in ways I never conceived of --- however, getting rid of my cancerous prostate and bladder after BCG and Chemo did not work certainly made more sense to me than seeing if appricots seeds would save me!

No hard feelings? I have seen too many people die needlessly In car wrecks and in fires. I have saved a lot of people But losing one is to many. And to see some one risk their live just upsets me. I have a hard time putting what is in my head to words. so if I have offended you, I sorry!

Yes, my impression was it was going to the only treatment and I didn't see anything to the contrary when I said please add conventional treatment. Didn't ever so don't try it in addition if you don't want (except for the caution on toxicity of dose).

We have thousands of survivors here and not one has come forward to say they personally have had success with B17/Laetrile does that fact not give you pause for thought?

Yes it does but then again there are several possible explanations for this.

It seems to me the cohort of people in this forum are very much into conventional therapies and not complementary/alternative therapies - this is clearly the "culture" here.

There is a stigma with the use of B17. From earlier posts, it is clear there are some strongly held views on its use. These can dissuade people from posting.

And just as there was no-one who ventured to say they had a positive experience with B17, there was also no-one who ventured to say they had a negative experience.

So the fact that there were no responses to my request does not indicate that any conclusions can be drawn.

As I clearly said in my post, I would not dissuade anybody from taking conventional treatment. From my short study of the matter it seems bladder cancer can be the most conventionally treatable of the cancers with the prospect of excellent life expectancy.

The last thing I will say is that B17 need not be seen as an alternative therapy but as a complementary therapy.
