Can you tell me about Bladder replacement options

I am 2 weeks post op so I cannot comment on products. My prayers go out to you and your son,. It is very important that your family treat your son no differently but be very encouraging and compassionate. I have gotten this from my family and have been able to overcome any negative feelings about my ostomy. My wife actually helps me change my bag. Well good luck to you and your son

Funny you mentioned coloplast. I now have a personal healthcare nurse assigned by insurance company. (probable assignde to me becauea I have billed over $400,000 since 1/01/10 when I started with them, but they deny it). THe healthcare nurse suggested I check with coloplast for future supplies as well.

Attitude is everything. I had a choice, Life or a painful Death. I chose life. I had surgery 16 days ago and only issue is leaky penis which my doctor told me will go away in couple of months. I can depend on Depends (PUN INTENDED)

My doctor was amazed, my staples are out and I am fully sealed with no aftercare to the stapled area needed. The stints came out and my new stoma is now 7/8" so I no longer have to cut my bag (Just my luck, I just spent $5 on a new pair of curved scissors).
My heart goes out to the 13 yr old boy that will be going through this. I just hope he has supportive parents and siblings.

You were right on the mark about how long the leaking will last according to my doctor. I was shown a 3rd way to put on my bag, this one looks the best for me and is easy
