Whats with your pouch? Are you drinking an inordinate amount of fluids? You should be at 3 to 4 hrs by now. Tell Tinklebell to start behaving right now.
contact Allegro Medical supplies and ask them for some samples of 14" French 16long intermittent caths......they're very helpful.

I still have to cath every 2 1/2 hrs and that is #288 catheters a month. I had a script for 200 a month and Have been fighting with insurance to cover this new amount. They DID ok the new amount a few days ago but I have to wait until Jan 25 to place order.(Insurance issues)
So I want the safest way to reuse till jan 25. I did call some cath suppliers so I will see what they send that will help some.

WHY are you reusing catheters when Medicare will allow you 200 a month? My script is written for a year and then renewed every year.....never been a problem.
read this.......there is no guarantee if you reuse

Ok I know you all hate this but I have had to reuse for the last 40 days. I was told by Dr steinbergs nurse to wash inside and outside of cath with antibacterial soap and place catheter wet in ziplock bag. (i would use this within 2 1/2 hrs. I did this at first but got infections so looked online at Childrens Hosp and now I wash with antibacterial soap inside and out and then let dry for 24-48 hrs in a fan folded towel then I submerge in 70% alcohol for 5 minutes and then place in ziplock bags wet and use within 7 days ( I rinse off the alcohol before cathing) Does this sound OK or should I boil them??? I will no longer have to reuse after Jan 25 because I had Dr Steinberg write me a new prescription. (IM STILL CATHING every 2 1/2 hrs during the day and sometimes 3 at night) Please let me know how you all cleaned yours in the old days!!!
