Well I had my appt with Dr Smith today the second opinion path report was worse than the first. The path report from Vandy called it a high grade leiomyosarcoma. because of the position of it I will be having a RC on Nov. 4th. I ask how long i could wait and he said he wants it done within a month, My Son graduates Officer training school in Airforce on 26th of Oct. so he said go to it and then we do it right after. Not really sure how to feel at this time sorta numb. I am not eligible for a neobladder because the urethra is involved but he will be doing the continent diversion which according to him is like the Indiana pouch. He will try to put my stoma in my belly button but not sure if he can. So the good things from today 1. he really feels that once we get this out that i will be good. he said after surg and he sees what is going on in there he will decide if he thinks i need chemo or radiation but because it is a sarcoma he does not think it will be necessary. 2. we caught it early enough that it could not be staged. 3. got to eat lunch at cheesecake factory
love cheesecake factory 4. saw Reba and Martina Mcbride there got a pic of Reba not fast enough to get Martina. But it was cool.
I know this is really serious but i also need to find some good in every thing it is going to be a rough road.
