I totlay understand you , I know all the things you are telling me but i kinda need your support .
I am so sorry if i disappoint you.
the dr did the cystoscopy and biopsy at the same time.
tenhe sent her for ct scan .
Do you know any good urologist in Los angele CA ???
WEll white light cystoscopy has its failures.
The best in the LA area is USC/Norris..they are all excellent there. Dr. Inderbir Gill, Dr. Sia Daneshmand, Dr. Eila Skinner.....all in the top Uro's in the US.

If you are afraid to ask about the results of the tests how can we help you understand what they mean?
At this point, it could be nothing and it could be something. He's checking. Of course the CT could show something. Otherwise, what would be the point of doing the test? What biopsy are they planning to do if they haven't found anything so far?
You say you are still freaking out and it is starting to sound like you are freaking out more than those of us who actually have (or had) bladder cancer freaked out. Don't get me wrong. Many of us freaked out pretty darn, but you appear even beyond that. You might want to call you doctor and let him/her know what is going on and ask if there is something they can give you to help with the anxiety or maybe just for bed time so you get better rest... Or maybe some of those relaxing teas or something like that.
If you are all freaked out, then how are you going to help your mom if there is anything (and at this point there still isn't anything that's been found)? I hope you are really good at hiding how freaked out you are from your mom. This is about her, don't you think? If she's got to be all worried about you, then how does that help her when she already has her own situation to worry about.
As Pat said, if you think she needs another doctor at a top bladder cancer hospital, let us know and Pat can point you in the right direction.
As she also said there a million (ok, she said about 412) other reasons that are not bladder cancer for blood to be in the urine. It might be helpful for you to make up your mind that it is probably nothing until (and IF) some test comes back and says otherwise.
Thank you Patricia,
they didn't do any TURB , dr did ultrasound and cystoscopy and the results of the biopsy and ct scan are not here yet.
The Dr was not thinking there is something serious. I mean can they tell that just by cystoscopy?? will that show the cancer or anything suspicious???
I live in LA california , where so you recommend to go ??
If you want to see the results and your mother has given you permission to do this just contact the hospital where the TURB was done and ask for them...they're yours. Just pick them up and sign for them. I've done that with everyone of my tests ranging from CT scans to blood work to whatever.
There are about 412 reasons for blood in the urine..now i'm sure you don't want to go there as you're a wreck already.
Sometimes they never find the cause.
Is your mother diabetic? Sometimes that causes blood in the urine. I know someone who is experiencing that right now.
the point is he's looking at the entire renal area to rule out anything visable and then you go from there.
If you think you want a second opinion from a top uro/top hospital let us know and we'll find you one.
I really appreciate your quick replies. I was just wondering if the ultrasound and cystoscopy does not show anything serious ( according to what dr told) then can biopsy or ct scan show something serious? I mean is this a good news that he couldnt see anything special in cystoscopy?? or there can still be cancer even without seeing anything in cystoscopy???
I am worried because he didnt even see any polyp , cyst stone or anything??? i wish there was something like a stone or cyst. They also did the deepstick test after antibiotics and he told me that tere is still showing blood. What else can cause that? I am really confused and waiting for ct scan and biopsy ,I am so week in this situations and I freak out. I hate waiting for the results and I am scared of calling and asking them about the results.
