I've also read this book & picked it up originally in the waiting room of my cancer clinic & that was the 'only' reason I read it. This book is in no way an 'alternative' option to scientific methods but works alongside. A lot of it makes sense to me regarding healthy eating/exercise/stress management helping to build our natural defences whether we have cancer or not.
I found it quite positive, so it must be doing me good.

Thanks for sharing. Whilst I am very sceptical about anything that is not backed up by proven medical research, I do accept that it is possible to improve our odds of survival by adopting healthier lifestyles. But I am particularly doubting of "alternative" options when any kind of money is involved in obtaining the information or treatment. As much as many of us would like to believe in fairy tales, sadly there are many wicked witches out there waiting to relieve us of our money.
I have not read the book , nor would I buy it.I have faith in the information on this website, given by those who have had the experience, done the research, and give FREELY of their time and wealth of experience, backed up by PROVEN SCIENTIFIC METHOD.
P:S: I do also think that if you believe that something is doing you good, it will, if only by improving your positivity

In terms of medicine, I only believe in what can be proven via the scientific method. Anything else is a fairy tale.

I wanted to let folks know that I picked up a book titled "Anticancer: A New Way of Life" by a psychiatry and neuroscience researcher named David Servan-Schreiber. He was dx with brain cancer 14 years ago. I am only at the beginning of the book, but essentially, he noticed that statistically a small percentage of people far exceed the life expectation of their dx. He began to wonder how to become one of those people. He used his research skills and medical colleagues to research foods, body-mind conditions, and other environmental factors in order to stack the odds in his favor. The stuff he recommends is far from "proven" according to convention medical wisdom (i.e., no randomized double blinded trials). However, there is some interesting science behind it. Also, I am finding the storying inspirational and just wanted to share this.
