I'm sure you are glad to have that over and it sounds like it went as scheduled. Hope you can just enjoy the new year and don't worry too much about the news because I'm sure it will be good.

Thank you all for the well wishes and for caring. The worst part of the surgery was the headache i came home with!!..Go figure. One of those 24 hr. kind that throb in your ears.
On the surgery side...compared to cystectomy its like stubbing your toe!! My daughter in law came with me and to know Shannon is to be blessed. She finds humor and joy in everything and had me laughing the entire time which probably isn't such a good thing when they're about to hit you with a needle three times in the breast to inject the dye to find the sentenal node. But i think i had so many endorphins going i really didn't mind it at all. That being done they took another mammogram and i'll be darned if that node didn't just light up like a christmas tree. And yes the mammogram hurt the most. I'm anxiously awaiting the penigram...
They then stuck a needle in me and threaded a wire through it as a guide...she was good..again didn't feel a thing..little pinch is all. Surgery was fast..about 2 hours as Dr. Schaunnessey said i was an easy one. Everything was where it was supposed to be and she then glued me back together. I expected to be somewhat deformed..however, no dents and she made the cut across the top so it would not show near the cleavage side. Is that too much information?
Headache is almost gone..i think it was from the IV. I do that sometimes. Hal behaved during the entire event apparently. They did do a foley but only got 70cc's out. I cathed 450cc's after so obviously it did get plugged or the IV was filling it up. And Evil Pat did not show up this time.
So yet another chapter in my life thats not completely written until i get pathology results and i do remember how small the one in my bladder was that was so nasty.
Thanks for the love guys!!
xxoooo Pat
