well i know i'm the invisible one on this post...but flank pain should not be ignored...thats where your kidneys make themselves known.
What kind of cytology did he use? Just a regular cytology wont give you a clear picture. Have him do a FISH test....demand a FISH test...i have a feeling he won't be amenable to it.
Personally i'd get to another uro with more experience.

Well...you are probably just fine then. That would GOOD NEWS!
On the other hand, you should make a list and ask the uro when you go back.

Things for the list:

1. What do you think the blood is from that my doctor saw?
2. Do you think my side pain is urological or something else? If something else, any idea who I should see about that?
3. I still have this feeling like I have to pee after I just get done going? Is this anything to be concerned about or do you think it may be because I'm just thinking about it too much?
4. Is there any cause for a cystoscopic exam to see if there is anything you can see that may have caused the blood that my General Practitioner found in my urine sample when he checked it?

What did he say when you told him you thought you have bladder cancer? Did he do a cysto?

I don't think side pain has anything to do with bladder.

so i went to the urologist. he said my urine had no infection or blood. felt around everywhere and found nothing. he said the foamy urine was nothing to worry about.

he said to go back in 6 weeks for another urine test.

where do i go from here? i still have side pain and occasional feel i need to urinate more after going. not always there.

the only thing that seems to have lightened my symptons was when my normal doctor told me to cut out caffeine out of my diet. that actually seems to have helped quite a bit so far. its hard for me to believe that could help that much.

any thoughts? the thing about bladder cancer is.. urine tests dont always show the blood cells that are related to bladder cancer... do they?

Sorry George. I didn't know that it would put the video right in the message. I was just putting the link to it there.

Seems like they could have had a "friendlier" cover image on the video.
