Vi,

Here is a link to something I wrote in this forum almost four months ago.

www.bladdercancersupport.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=114&func=view&catid=3&id=26819

It's intended to help people think through the same process as we've been talking about.

Vi,

You win the gold ring!!!!

You are correct.

However, please do not thing this was specifically for you because of our other discussion. I really felt like this would be a good general post for everyone since people do searches in the forum over time and I've been thinking about it for some time now.

It is also why I thought it might be a good idea to do that flow chart I did of how to go about treatment.

I'm hoping to build on that with the feedback and great input from others on this site as many have MUCH more knowledge and experience than I do.

Please keep posting questions and let us know how it goes when you get up to UCH. The Anschutz Cancer center there is terrific and they have a geat complement of urological expertise.

Best!
Mike

I am going to reply to myself on this one.
I was out doing some shopping today and kept wondering why you would post this when you and Pat were pushing me so much to get a second opinion.

Then the lightbulb went on....

I kept hoping I could get back on before someone wondered if I was a totally clueless person.

OK...there is NO reason and that is why there was no listing.

Got it...

You guessed it Pat!

There is NO GOOD reason.
Lot's of BAD REASONS, but no GOOD reason.

Bad Reasons:
It might hurt my local uro's feelings.
I'm sure it will be ok...it's only cancer.
My local urologist needs to practice on somebody in order to get experience. Why not have it be me?

:P

This better be good Mike or you've freakin lost your mind!
1. You don't care if the diagnosis is understaged or not
2. You don't care if the local uro left margins and are seeding away for new cancer growth.
3. Ya gotta die sometime!
WHAT?
Pat
