Hi Pat -

We will be passing each other in the friendly skies tomorrow. Heading home.

Wanted to wish you the best of luck @ MSK on Wednesday - I think it reasonable to believe you will teach them a thing or two!

All the best, my friend.

Pat,
Anytime we learn about problems like this it feel worse than being hit by lightning. However, I anticipate you staying with this group forever and only needing the other for a while.

I say this because my sister in law had breast cancer. She did go through treatments.... But.... she is now and has been for 13 years, cancer free.

That is something I hope you can use to help you through this. Once you take care of things, you can be cancer free without the concern I'm thinking you have with bladder cancer.

I hope this helps,
Vi

Pat,

Sorry to hear your news about a new cancer. Your experience here, however, will greatly aid you in your new fight - you certainly know how to find info and are not afraid to seek other opinions. I am confident that you will beat this new cancer as well.

Hi Pat,

So sorry you have been clobbered again; it doesn't seem fair at all to me.

I found this website on a recommendation from a cancer website I use in the UK:

community.macmillan.org.uk

Macmillan is a registered National Charity in the UK providing free support for cancer sufferers. Its a very popular website with several thousand registered users, many of whom are from the USA as well as other parts of the World. The site does not limit itself to 1 cancer type but there are several forums, one for each cancer type.

With very, very few exceptions, all of the folks I have met there have been so helpful and supportive. Its a very busy website and can get a bit slow at times but I'm sure it will be well worth a visit.

Good luck with your fight.

Cheers, Mike

Dear Pat,

I don't know how I missed this until now. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin a new fight. You must be exhausted thinking about all of this - I wish for you some measure of peace as you turn your formidable skills to this new challenge.

Hugs from Texas.

Pat, your Angel is not lost. As in the poem of the footsteps, your Angel is carrying you through this storm, until the ground is secure and safe. This Angel will guide you with the hand outstretched to make all the right decisions , for yourself, and into the hands of the best possible healers. You will be in my prayers.
