Anita, Boo is a 8 year old spoiled tuxedo cat(black & white), who runs the house.

Pat, Very good site. It's very interesting unless youv'e lived it! I am the king of lythotripsy!

Is there additional info out there on the pros/com of Ipouch/neo?
Thought I was sold on Neo.........not so sure now. I am sure I will
flip flop till the last moment. I currently play hockey twice a week,
and love to golf. Worried about leakage with Neo.

Troubled,
Jim

Boo,

Best of luck to you. What kind of cat is Boo? We have a tabby (Gracie) and a long haired orange cat (Twig).

Jim,

Glad you found the site!

Sounds like a good decision given the family history. Check out the thread on "To neo or not to neo" here on the forum. That is where I asked some questions about the various types of diversions and got some great answers from people here.

I wound up with the neobladder hooked up to the old plumbing which has been working fine for me. Got mine October 9, 2008 and I'm very happy with it.

Good luck with the surgery and feel free to ask anything on this site. Lots of us here who can share experiences and answer questions.

You are very wise to go ahead and get that monster out of you. I had my RC in September and have done very well. I am female and 60 years old. My doctor told me that they are finding that the sooner you get the bladder out, the better the long term prognosis. I was relucant to go with the surgery but these people kicked me in the rear and I did what was necessary. You seem to have a handle on it and I wish the best.
