I was diagnosed with bladder cancer on September 11, 2006 and it was a frightening experience for my husband and me. I am so grateful for this forum. As I spent many sleepless nights, I would often get up in the middle of the night to read the postings on this website. Just knowing that others have made it though the diagnostics and subsequent surgery has made it more tolerable.
I had my total cysectomy with a neobladder on Friday Nov 17th and came home on November 24th. So far so good. Staples come out today and it will be determined when the Foley and Suprapubic will follow.
Again, I don't know how well I would have been prepared to go forward with a positive attitude had it not been for this forum. THANK YOU
