Hootie,

I don't understand why you choose not only to self-diagnose, but to tell me that my hubby has an inflated prostate - when every single test done......... shows that NOT to be the case.

YOU, my friend, are NOT a doctor and I think it wise you stop posting until you have answers from legitimate sources - not "othersymptoms.com" (with sarcasm - by the way - probably the most UNRELIABLE website you will find)...

Try on a Urologist if you really care to find out that you have stones (which are painful - cancer is NOT painful until you are on your death bed) .....

Greg, you crack me up... Your knowledge and sense of humor is Fantastic. My next door neighboor was diagnosed 2 years ago with cancer in the stomach and they hung a huge banner "Can't KILL KEN"... for a party.... I personally (having known several folks with cancer and even a very good friend who lost his son at 15 years to cancer) know that it is incredibly difficult (WHEN - (HOOTIE) you are diagnosed - until then = you have no credibility or wishful thinking you might draw attention to yourself - be careful what you WISH for my friend)..................

Greg, Wife, and all you good folks who have taken EVERY measure to protect, save your body, etc.... God Love Ya!!! For your wearwithall, your courage, your strength and the most important thing.. Your Sense Of Humor!! ;D

Where my husband is being treated, protocol dicates anyone with blood in the urine must first have an ultrasound before a Urology appointment will even get scheduled. Hubby's ultrasound showed nothing regarding the 10cm tumor in his bladder. So in my opinion ultrasound is NOT an always accurate test to detect BC.

Cytology is also not a 100% accurate test to detect BC. Urine tests have too many variables for accurate tests. Too much depends on the proper collection and storage of the samples.

I guess that means you better keep that CT appointment on the 18th if you want a more accurate diagnosis! ::)

Yes, cytology is good for finding invasive blc. It's quite good at finding high grade cancers but not low grade or papillary tumors.

I had an ultrasound done about 3 months ago which I know isn't very accurate for detecting BC, but I've heard quite a few people say they found out that way. I had a KUB, but I don't think that's good for much. I also had a couple of cytologys done. Does anyone know if urine cytologys are very accurate in detecting invasive BC? What are they good for? Thanks

Hi,

once you have had your scan have you already planed what to worry about next?

For almost a month now you have looked for every justification you can to have Cancer. IF in the unlikely event that you have got Cancer, which seems very unlikely you sound like someone who will need something else to worry about.

Have you noticed that almost everyone on this Forum has cancer and despite the Challenges that it raises we cope with it and find time to help others where we can - IF you want cancer that badly that you are determined to prove you have it but put off risking proving you haven't - have mine any time you like, I can easily find things to do that don't worry me! ;D

I have enough 'what is' in my life to be happy not to waste self indulgence on 'what if' ;)

Have you looked up the symptoms of Green Monkey Disease or Ebola Fever - you never know you might have one of the early symptoms to worry about - failing that try leprosy or HIV - I'm sure you can find symptoms to fit!

Regards,
Greg L-W.

A lot of people say I don't have the symptoms, but according to this site I have the exact symptoms. From all the sites I've looked at it seems that bladder pain and pain during urination are common symptoms.
