Jennifer...i feel like i'm watching "Sicko" right now..the Michael Moore movie on our health care system where a person cannot seek care when they need it before the insurance company deems it appropriate.
Most university affiliated hospitals have a "call the nurse" line...i'm hoping yours has one. Please call them and give them your symptoms of low body temp, chills, tell them of you recent surgery, how much blood and pain you have, and that your hands and feet are swelling.
Please don't think about it for a day or two.

I am not one to over react. I appreciate all of your comments. I read each one then apply them to myself as best as possible. I step back an think on it a day or two. I have some time on my hands. I understand and appreciate everyone concern. I just didn't know how much pain and blood was normal.I felt like something was not right, I just don't know what it is. I will find out. I now think it may not be as normal as I once thought.

Jenz,

The chills are worrying me a bit. You should NOT be having pain and bleeding 2 weeks after your TURB.

You need to know that this COULD be serious. Do not hesitate to get yourself to a Doctor as soon as you possibly can.

Jenz i was referring to your post of Nov 9th where you said you had a UTI ..
and Rosemary i only mentioned sepsis as sometimes a low body temperature is an indication of sepsis...(it happened with my husband )Plus the swelling of the hands and feet makes me think there might be a kidney problem.... Here is a link from Mayo
www.mayoclinic.com/health/body-temperature/AN01513
Just would rather be safe than sorry. I still think she needs to be seen.
Is there a nurse on call at the hospital you could talk to and tell your symptoms to..or anyone at your insurance company that is on call? Refer to the link if you need to.
Believe me i never want to frighten anyone. Pat

Most insurance companies do not cover ER visits Jenz this is true. Generally it is a $50-150 copay. But if you are admitted, which it sounds like you may be if you are having swelling, bleeding, and low /or/ high temperatures, than generally you are covered. It is worth the money...I suggest you go. Or call the Dr.'s answering service. You will not get a nurse, the Dr. or an associate will call back. If you have to go to the ER tonight isn't a bad idea, Sundays are sometimes slow at the ER...You don't know where the blood is coming from, and if it is constant that means you are loosing blood. That is dangerous...go get checked out...

I wrote a post and it did not show up I will try again.

Fist I forgot before to tell you that I am swelling, feet and hands. I thought i could be from riding in the car. We had to travel for my brother in laws funeral. Let me know what you think?

I live in South Alabama. Auburn, Alabama. 1 Hour from Atlanta and 2 hours from Birmingham.

I have no idea if the doctor used mitomycin C. Sorry I can't tell you.

I was going in for a peek and path reports Thursday 11-15 and had to cancel because of brother in laws funeral. I would have got copies and info at that time, but had to cancel.I was wanting to have my path reports sent for a second opion.

I am taking Doxycycline 100 MG 2 per day and Oxycoine generic for percocet when need for pain. I need it more than I thought I would.

I called the doctors office Tuesday before we left for the funeral and ask if I could come in because of the bleeding and the nurse told me it was normal to bleed up tp 6 weeks after the surgury. I just took her at her word. I do have to say I get a feeling of them brushing me off when I called. Like Pat said earlier.

My insurance will not cover an emergency visit unless it is life or death. I will have to call the doctor in the morning a be more demanding.

I bleed for 3 days after the TURB and quit, then started back 3days later nad have bleed some each day since. I don't see blood on the paper everytime and sometimes it is light and someyimes it is heavy and you can see drips in the comode and heavy on the paper.Or to me it is heavy and scary.I feel a pop and get real cold and know I will have the blood in my urine. It is strange.....

I am not running a fever, just chills. Would you not run a fever with septic?

Thank you all for your quck response.

Jennifer
