Jenz,

I am glad you followed thru to see a Dr even if you don't think much has been fixed because of it. My 1st specialist at the UW wanted to do my RC neobladder - but after how his staff handled the problems I had after the TUR (very reminiscent of your experience) - I found another Dr who gave a hoot about me and what I needed. Mayo Dr were 5.5 hours away but they always call back the same day. Maybe you are at that point.
Sending you healing ((((hug))))) God Bless, Holly

Well I have to say, I'm very disappointed with my doctors visit. With the doctor I saw today. My doctor seems to be out of town.

I finaly got in after my husband called twice. Around 8am and again at 12pm because they had not called. Finally they called me and ask if I would just come on in. I got there and went back peed in the cup. That's all. No checking the fever no blood drawn nothing but pee in a cup. The doctors assisiant(doctor in training,I think) ask about the systoms I was having and said he had no idea what was going on,He said he did not think any of the systoms were associated with the surgery except the blood in urine. He would go talk to the doctor and get back to me. So I waited, then the other doctor came in an all he did was write a prescription for more antibiotics. They had told me earlier that my urine was clear of infection,it did have blood in it but that was normal. I ask the doctor why he was giving me more antibiotics if my urine was clear, no infection and he said we might be missing something, on the way out the door. I really didn't feel like runnung him down the hall. Very rude. I really felt like they thought I was they for pain meds and I want everyone to know I still have pain meds from my TURB and I didn't want his, nor did I ever mention giving me any and I really don't like the way the pain meds make you feel, but that is how they made me feel.I have 2 kids that I have to care for, you can't do that high on pain meds. That just pisses me off. They never mentioned it either. It was also like the other doctor did not want to help because he would then be as responsible as the doctor who did the TURB. I'm Pissed off. They treated me like I was crazy. You know I may be, but I'm smart enough to know that I did not feel this way before my TURB.

I do have to say that I am not bleeding as much today as I have been. They did see the blood in the urine test. I know I am going to have to get a new doctor. I got some direx (sp) that has really helped with the fluid/swelling. I've only had 2 chills today and thats not as bad. I think I waited so long that I may be getting better on my own. Maybe. I know that I can't get into see a doctor before Thanksgiving. I would go to the emergency room but to be honest I think they would side with the local doctors. Which we only have 2 Uro docs. I will have to go to one back home, I am going to my mothers Wednesday.

Just wanted to let everyone know what happened. Just mad after this visit.

Jenz,

I got out of bed to say the same thing to you that Pat just said.
Call the ER and talk with someone on duty. I reread your original post. Your tumor was small and with proper cauterization and without any OTHER complications, you should have been feeling back to normal well before now.

Do not wait. Make the call. The chills and back pain are really concerning me.

Your friend,
Rosemary
