A few of the scarier photos from Ghostwalk Night..the face in the window is an actual photograph. I must have accidentaly pressed the "solarize" button which gives a cartoonish effect. I wish I had captured the real deal....

Dang, I wish that I could stay at home and play on the computer today!

Elaine,

Thanks so much for your post. I would sure love to see some of your photos!!

A lot of people seem to like the Kodak Power Shot Camera. I"m using an older camera, a Sony Minolta, which uses a 3/12" floppy disk to transfer photos to computer. I have felt a little intimidated by the Kodak, but am going to give purchasing one some serious thought.

Thanks for the tip, and once again I would love to see some of photos.

Your BC friend,
Rosemary

Rosemary, I've enjoyed this thread so much! I'm still dealing with gastro issues so in the past months I've only been on the computer long enough to do what I can then I'm off. Thus, I am on this site very little. However, I just bought a laptop so I can be on line on the couch! My son in law was just here yesterday to set it all up so I can use it and here I am on the couch reading all the posts I've missed! It will take some time to catch up.

I wanted to tell you about my camera since you are thinking of buying. Chris bought a Canon Power Shot for me last May. I also got the attachable zoom lens and extra power cord to plug it in to save batteries since so many of my photos are taken through my windows. I had great luck with it and it was so easy to switch from the telephoto lens to the regular lens.

I started selling my photos and just recently was able to buy a Canon Professional Rebel xti with a 300mm lens. Still learning how to use that one. It's more complicated and I'm an old lady so it will take awhile for the old brain cells to get it right.

Anyway, the Canon Power Shot with the extra telephoto lens is fabulous. Just thought I'd let you know if you are comparing models and such. Take care, elaine

I live in a seaside historic town in North Carolina. Right now the town is bustling with the activity of the October Season and is featuring it's annual "Ghostwalk". If you were to be here now, you might feel like you have been beamed into another warp in time. We have the feeling of a big Halloween party all over town as lots of folks are walking around in period costume. The theme this year is the Civil War, which is appropriate to us as our town was occupied by the Union Troops in 1862. (I can attest that you won't see Union Soldiers here today. The town is crowded with the Confederates Soldiers and their tents and muskets.)

Just a few photos to add a little flavor to your own Halloween...

Talk to you later. I'm having too much fun.
