Hi Flo
I have kind of the same thing but not blood. I did have a fistula after my surgery that after 2 weeks of IV TPN healed itself. I too am wondering if it could be another fistula. I had a complete hysterectomy in 77 and RC in 08. I have not asked any doc about this but am thinking that it might be time. It seems to be always something, why can't it be a cute on our finger or something.

Thanks, and yes i see someone on his team next week. He actually told me to see my primary doc unless she could not figure it out i just seen Him 3 months ago and there was nothing going on Ha Ha that is usually how it goes. Of course my brain trys to figure out any possible cause.

But really all in all i am getting used to the new normal (with the exception of this issue). I have CTs every 4 months and all was well until the last one they saw a very small spot 3mm on my right lower lobe of lung that was not there on the previous scan. Unfortunely with this type of cancer if there is a metastasis it is usually in the same spot as original cancer or lungs. So of course you worry a bit but it is too small to really do anything with now. hopefully it is just an evolving granuloma and will be stable on next ct.

Life happens and time goes by and we tend to forget about the support that we got and how much it truely meant to us in the being. I just want you all to know that I really do appreciate this site and I am usually more of a bystander and should probably be more active. Flo

Hello Flo... I have wondered how you were doing so many times. Sorry you're having these issues. Every time I go back to VB for my checkups, the first thing my uro/surgeon asks is whether I have seen any blood. I'm sure he is talking about blood in my urine, but ANY blood following bladder surgery should be seen by Dr. Smith (if possible, or someone on his team). Let him determine if it is related in any way to your RC... only he knows what he did in there and he needs to know about this situation, if you have not already consulted him.

Very happy to hear from you again, but so sorry this worrisome discharge has brought you back. Please let us know what you find out, hopefully very soon!

Catherine

Best wishes... Catherine

Have you been to your urologist who did the surgery?
That is where I would go FIRST.

You need to get this taken care of by someone who knows what they are doing!

Have a question it is a little embarrassing but need help. I had a RC with Indiana pouch in Nov 2010. I did not have normal bladder cancer I had High Grade LeioMyoSarcoma at the tricusp of the bladder. I have had a complete hysterectomy. but Dr. Smith only removed a small amount of vaginal wall and my urethra opening is still there not sure how far the opening is or how he sutured it closed. so here is my problem i have had a vaginal discharge for 2-3 month (yellow-yellowgreenish with a hint of blood)no pain or odor it is definitely not now vaginal discharge. I have been to my Primary care provider we have done all sorts of vaginal cultures and all were negative we did a round of antibiotic because of the color. and my Doc's exact words were "you are an enigma" Has anyone had this problem is it possible that I have a fistula at the urethra opening and it is peritoneal fluid leakage? I am just grasping at straws. I do not want to be an enigma and would like some resolution to this problem. It is not always there and it goes from none to a large amount. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Flo
