TSA Scans & Incontinence Pads

I have to wear Poise Pads, not because of surgery, but because of severe side effects from BCG. At first I was worried about having to wear a pad and being scanned, then I thought, "why do I care, TSA agent has not walked in my shoes, or taken my journey". I did get scanned twice, and really don't know (or care  ) if my pad was visible.
I doubt that it does show up on the scanner, but if so, so what?
Women have an advantage with the outlook of wearing any pads, because of all the years past we had to!

I haven't flown since last summer, and I had similar concerns about airport security. Actually, I was worried that the titanium clips used in my neobladder might trigger the blue light special. But nothing happened, and I think the Kimberly Clark people are right about the pads. Let us know how it goes for you.

Ladies - I originally posted this in the "Men & Bladder Cancer Area", but one of the guys suggested that perhaps asking the ladies might be appropriate.

Thanks,

Has anyone had any experience going through the new TSA full body scans while wearing incontinence pads, shields, briefs, etc.?

I am a recent neobladder recipient who is going back to work soon, and my job involves regular air travel. Since I still need to wear some type of protection during the day, the thought of going through the new TSA Full Body Scans bothers me more than anything else. The Kimberly Clark (Depends) customer service people tell me that because these garments are made of "paper", they will not be detectible or "Seen" by the scanner.

Any personal experience out there?

Thanks,
