Knowing what I know today, I think I'd tend to recommend the Indiana Pouch for women. I know I'm not a women but I'm fine with you ladies commenting on my "men related" stuff so I figure you will probably be ok with me commenting on women related issues.
Even minor complications like I have would be a bigger pain for women. For example, I have to catheterize now every time I go to the bathroom. For me, that's not such a huge deal, but I would expect that the risk of infection for women (especially when we talk about public restrooms) would be a good bit higher. My catheter and I are nowhere near that toilet seat when I put a catheter in.
Given that women have shorter urethras, there are much higher continence risks (I believe both incontinence and hypercontinence).
