THE MIKE NOT ALLOWED TO LOOK FORUM

i've been saying it for years and years...back when i was working with Upjohn....all tests were done on MEN.......and i'm going ...Hey wouldn't a 120lb female need a bit less than a 200lb man?....Still they continued with their men and mice...hey..Of Mice and Men....maybe make a good book huh? (yeah i know)..little sarcasm there!
Anywho i'm glad there is now such a group studying women.

Really interesting!

You might cross post this to articles (even though it's not directly BC related) as some men might be afraid to read this section. :)

I think it would be good for men who have wives or daughters to know this information as well.

As a matter of fact, I cut and pasted your post into an email and sent it to my wife, sister, and daughter.

Now me, I go everywhere. Even if there was a Forum topic called "Mike not allowed to look", I would be the first one in there checking it out! ;)

this isn't just about cancer but how women react differently than men to drugs and other conditions....for instance...
for women.....avoid Erythromycin..it causes some women to have heartbeat abnormalites. Our hearts take longer to relax after each beat than men's do, and erythromycin lengthens that interval.
As for pain drugs...this is interesting.....
They don't work well for men, but pain drugs called kappa-opioids, such as Nubain or Stadol, are proven to bring great releif towomen in moderate and severe pain after surgery, and kappa-opiods aren't addictive.
And....anesthesia during surgery is less effective on women..in fact, we're 3 times as likely as men to awaken early.
Check out the site....really interesting
